The book & lyrics for Dump, The Musical are by Ciro Maria Scotti, a New York writer and veteran journalist who helped run political coverage at BusinessWeek (now Bloomberg Businessweek) for a decade, wrote a freewheeling blog for businessweek.com, and served as the magazine's managing editor. He later was a top editor at Reuters and has written political columns for The Daily Beast and The Fiscal Times. A couple of screenplays languish in his bottom drawer. Dump is his first work of theatre.
The original score for Dump, The Musical is by JJ McGeehan, a New York composer and musician whose extensive Broadway credits include Jesus Christ Superstar, Cabaret, Boy From Oz, La Cage aux Folles, Tarzan, Billy Elliot, Ghost, Rocky, Gloria Estefan’s On Your Feet, and The Hugh Jackman World Tour 2019.
JJ McGeehan's credits as Film Composer include: 'Walking The Camino’, ‘Spacious Sky’, ‘Boys of Baraka’, ‘Prison Town USA’, ‘Jesus Camp’, American Experience, Marcus Garvey: ‘In The Whirlwind.'
